Sandra Margarita Sandoval Cifuentes
Senior Policy Associate, J-PAL Latin America and the Caribbean
Sandra Sandoval is a Senior Policy Associate at J-PAL Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). She collaborates on the research and systematization of early childhood curricula and programs to Guatemalan context. Sandra also works with J-PAL network researchers to propose and develop research pilots for new programs, supporting the co-design of early childhood interventions aligned with the Ministry of Education’s (MINEDUC) new model in Guatemala.
Before joining J-PAL, Sandra served as Senior ECD Advisor and Chief of Party for the Come Play with Me Program at ChildFund International. She was also Thrive Program Manager and Nutrition and Food Security Advisor at Plan International Guatemala. Sandra, a nutritionist with a master’s in food security and local development, has worked as a nutrition advisor and project Manager for USAID Health Continuous Improvement Program and IDB.
She is also a professor at Universidad Galileo in Guatemala, where she teaches applied nutrition.
