Ishita Deb is a Senior Research Associate at J-PAL South Asia, where she works on Targeted, Flexible Microcredits, a randomized evaluation in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Her work supports field implementation, survey operations, data quality monitoring, and research activities.

Prior to joining J-PAL in 2026, she worked with the Reserve Bank of India on macro-financial research, systemic risk indicators, household credit, and policy-facing analysis. She has also worked as a research assistant and teaching assistant at Boston University.

Ishita holds a Master of Arts in Economics from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Economics from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi.
