J-PAL MENA Capacity Building Vertical:

The Capacity Building Vertical’s mandate is to spread the culture of Impact Evaluation in the MENA Region by equipping policymakers, practitioners, and researchers with the tools to become better producers and users of evidence. This is done by designing and delivering innovative training content tailored to each stakeholder group.

Intern key responsibilities: 

  • Provide administrative support to the capacity-building team in training events, operational management, logistical preparations, and financial procedures.
  • Review training content on the J-PAL Global Training Knowledge Base and report on the adaptation opportunities of these trainings in MENA office capacity-building activities.
  • Assist in content and materials development for different capacity-building programs.
  • Conduct research about best practices for the integration of new and interactive teaching techniques/ technologies and the use of innovative methods in training delivery.
  • Liaise internal communication with units that request capacity-building activities.
  • Assist in Capacity building activities’ evaluation, documentation, and reporting for effectiveness and development
  • Help in writing concept notes for new training programs.
