Policy Associate, J-PAL Global

Olivia Bryan is a Policy Associate at J-PAL Global, where she helps manage the US$60 million Evidence for AI in Health (EVAH) initiative supporting rigorous evaluations of AI-enabled health tools ready for use in health systems in LMICs. In this role, she coordinates with donors, NGOs, and academics to generate real-world evidence on where AI tools add value and how they can be safely and responsibly integrated into health systems at scale. As part of her broader work within J-PAL’s Health sector, Olivia builds partnerships between researchers and implementers interested in evaluating their programs.

She also supports the Gender sector's Gender and Economic Agency Initiative (GEA) - a portfolio of more than 50 research projects focused on identifying and advancing innovations to strengthen women’s economic agency. 

Prior to joining J-PAL in 2025, Olivia worked for the Massachusetts Senate Committee on Ways and Means, where she managed a US$5 billion public health, mental health, and disability services budget portfolio for the Massachusetts state budget. 

Olivia graduated cum laude from the University of California, San Diego with a BA in Economics and Political Science with a concentration in International Relations (High Honors).
