Tarek Ghani is an Assistant Professor of Strategy at Washington University’s Olin Business School. His research focuses on the private sector’s role in the diffusion of new technologies and navigating economic, social, and political fragility.
He is also a nonresident fellow of the Brookings Institution’s Global Economy and Development Program. Tarek is affiliated with the Empirical Studies of Conflict project at Princeton University, the International Growth Center, the Wharton Impact, Value and Sustainable Business Initiative. He recently served as chief economist and future of conflict program director at the International Crisis Group.
Tarek holds a PhD in business and public policy from the University of California, Berkeley.
