Namrata Rao Mangina

Namrata Rao is a Senior Policy Manager at J-PAL South Asia, where she oversees the health sector portfolio. She is responsible for identifying emerging policy opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and developing interdisciplinary initiatives that integrate health with other key development sectors.

Prior to joining J-PAL South Asia in 2026, Namrata spent several years in the development sector tackling challenges in child education, mental health, and gender. Throughout these roles, she specialized in monitoring and evaluation, research, and partnerships. She has a particular interest in exploring digital and AI solutions to solve various public policy challenges.

Namrata holds a masters in behavioral neuroscience from the University of Groningen and a bachelors in biotechnology from Christ University, Bangalore.
