Priscila Soares Dos Santos

Priscila Soares is a Senior Research Associate at the Jobs and Opportunity Initiative Brazil (JOI Brasil) at J-PAL LAC. She works on a research portfolio focused on labor market policies, collaborating with academic researchers, policymakers, and civil society organizations to promote the use of rigorous evidence in public policy.

Before joining J-PAL, she worked in nonprofit organizations in Brazil on education and social policy projects, served as a consultant for the World Bank’s Poverty and Equity Global Practice, and was a visiting researcher at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Priscila holds a PhD in Applied Economics from the University of São Paulo (USP) and is an associate member of the Black Economists Network (REPP).
