Senior Policy, Training, and Events Associate, J-PAL Middle East and North Africa

Zeina Osama is a Senior Policy, Communications, and Training Associate at Egypt Impact Lab (EIL). The EIL is a partnership between J-PAL Middle East and North Africa and the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development in Egypt. In this role, she is part of the gender, labor, and capacity-building sectors, working closely with policymakers, donors, and practitioners to facilitate the use of rigorous evidence in the planning and execution of development programs. She is also the co-coordinator of the Egypt Impact Lab, where she supports planning, budgeting, and reporting.

Prior to joining J-PAL MENA in 2023, she worked at the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development as a senior economic researcher, participating in planning and managing economic research and economic policy.

Zeina holds a Master’s degree in Development Economics from the University of Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne and a Bachelor’s in Economics from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo University.
