Giorgia Barboni

Giorgia Barboni is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Warwick, Warwick Business School. Her current research focuses on the study of credit markets in developing and developed countries. She is particularly interested in innovations in financial contracts and their impact on business growth and households’ financial decisions and wellbeing.

She is a research associate at CAGE and affiliated with Yale Inclusion Economics. Prior to joining the University of Warwick, Giorgia was a postdoctoral research scholar at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.

Giorgia holds a PhD in economics from the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, Italy.
