Nadhifa Marsya Utami
Research Associate, J-PAL Southeast Asia
Nadhifa Marsya Utami is a Research Associate at J-PAL Southeast Asia. She is currently involved in projects related to education policy as well as micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
She holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from Kyushu University and a MEng in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from the University of Toronto, with a focus on sustainable energy. During her graduate studies, she worked on projects related to climate-related risk management using a risk-based assessment framework, as well as system and compliance analysis for AI-driven supply chain planning.
Prior to her work at J-PAL, Nadhifa gained experience in manufacturing and applied research settings, where she combined technical analysis with a human-centered approach to improve safety and quality, and enhance productivity, while remaining attentive to environmental impacts. She is particularly interested in contributing to research that generates evidence closely grounded in people’s lived experiences, especially in the areas of education, health, and a just transition in the context of climate change.
