Shrddha Rajesh

Research Manager, J-PAL South Asia
Shrddha is a Research Manager at J-PAL, where she leads work under the Aging and Health in India portfolio (TN Aging), focused on improving the long-term health and well-being of the elderly. She collaborates with multiple departments of the Government of Tamil Nadu to implement a first-of-its-kind panel health survey and manage large-scale randomized evaluations of community-based mental health interventions. She also supports the development of machine learning tools for screening non-communicable diseases (especially cardiovascular diseases) and contributes to a comprehensive tax administration study. Shrddha works closely with researchers from MIT, Harvard, and Dartmouth, bringing together diverse expertise to drive these impactful projects forward.
Prior to joining J-PAL in 2022, Shrddha was a Research Assistant at the United Nations University – MERIT and Maastricht University, working on a climate impact project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. She has also held short-term roles with IOM, UNDP, and UNDESA.
Shrddha holds a double MSc in Public Policy and Human Development, with a specialization in Foreign Policy and Development (cum laude), from UNU–MERIT and Maastricht University. In addition, she has completed the MicroMasters in Data, Economics, and Design of Policy from MIT.
