Policy Manager, J-PAL Middle East and North Africa

Sarah William is a Policy Manager at J-PAL Middle East and North Africa where she plays a pivotal role in advancing the culture of Randomised Controlled Trials (RCTs) and evidence-based policy making within the health sector. In her role she collaborates with researchers, practitioners, donors, and government stakeholders to facilitate the inception of new research projects that answer relevant policy questions. Additionally, Sarah is dedicated to facilitating the use of rigorous existing evidence derived from J-PAL’s practice to catalyze the formulation of informed policies and development projects.

Prior to joining J-PAL in 2023, she was leading on the design, implementation, and monitoring of projects focusing on disability inclusion, maternal and child health and nutrition, and food security. Her previous roles included positions at Life Vision for Development, Caritas Egypt, and the Egyptian Food Bank.

Sarah holds an MA in International Public Health from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Pharmacy and Biotechnology from the German University in Cairo.
