Amir Jina is an Assistant Professor at the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago, co-director of the Human-Centered Weather Forecast Initiative, and co-lead of the AI for Climate Initiative. Amir's research focuses on measuring the impacts of weather and climate change on low-income communities to understand how they can best adapt, particularly in India and East Africa.
Amir is also a founding member of the Climate Impact Lab at the University of Chicago and holds his PhD in sustainable development from Columbia University.
