Sri Vaishnavi Varma Gottumukkala

Sri Vaishnavi Varma is a Senior Research Associate at J-PAL South Asia, where she is currently working in the Energy Environment and Climate Change sector on the Direct Benefit Transfers for Electricity project (DBTE-AP) in Andhra Pradesh. 

She joined J-PAL in 2023 and has previously worked on randomized controlled trials (RCTs) with a focus on Behavioural Development Economics and the Economics of Education.

Vaishnavi holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a BSc (Hons) in Economics from the Indian School of Business and Finance, an affiliate centre of the University of London.

Her research interests include interventions that promote behavioural change, particularly in the sectors of education, mental health, gender, and the environment.
