Policy Associate, J-PAL Global

Kiersten Robertson is a Policy Associate at J-PAL Global, where she works with governments, NGOs, and academics to advance evidence-informed policymaking across the Gender and Social Protection sectors. She supports the Gender and Economic Agency Initiative focused on identifying and advancing innovations to strengthen women’s economic agency. In addition, she helps with the Social Protection Initiative aimed at evaluating social protection programs in low- and middle- income countries.

Prior to joining J-PAL in 2026, she held a predoctoral fellowship at the University of Chicago, where she analyzed data from randomized controlled trials in Pakistan on targeted health interventions and teacher training programs. During her undergraduate studies, she completed internships with the Center of Global Development, the World Bank and Nu Skin Force for Good, gaining experience in policy research and program evaluation.

Kiersten holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Brigham Young University, where she graduated magna cum laude.
