Addressing Homelessness and Housing Stability
Our work is guided by an academic literature review of the existing evidence, which summarizes the key lessons learned to date from randomized evaluations of homelessness programs and outlines areas for future research. The key findings from the academic paper are summarized in J-PAL's Evidence Review, "Reducing and Preventing Homelessness: Lessons from Randomized Evaluations."
Through our Housing Stability Evaluation Incubator, we support organizations with developing randomized evaluations that expand the base of rigorous evidence on strategies for reducing homelessness. Eligible organizations are invited to apply for pro bono technical assistance from J-PAL’s staff of policy and research experts to develop an evaluation idea, flexible proposal development funding of up to $50,000, and connections with J-PAL’s network of leading academic researchers.
