Kelsey Jack is an Associate Professor at the University of California, Berkeley's Haas School of Business, and a Faculty Research Fellow at the NBER. She has held past appointments at UC Santa Barbara and Tufts University, and also completed a postdoc position at MIT with J-PAL's Agricultural Technology Adoption Initiative (ATAI). Her research explores incentive-based approaches to encourage the private provision of public goods with a focus on the environment. She combines environmental economics, contract theory, development economics, and behavioral economics to examine individual decision-making in settings where decisions create social externalities.

She also serves as Co-Chair of J-PAL's Energy, Environment, and Climate Change sector, Co-Chair of the King Climate Action Initiative, and Scientific Advisor for J-PAL Africa's regional Air and Water Lab: Water, Air, and Energy Lab.
