On May 18-19, 2015, impact investors joined impact measurement experts from the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) and Erasmus University for a two-day course on the challenges of measuring and comparing the impact of investments that aim to improve the lives of people around the world. The Impact Boot Camp featured five interactive workshops in which impact investors learned how to build a strategy for impact, identify more reliable impact measures and methods, use existing evidence to inform investment decisions, and strategically manage a portfolio for maximum impact.

Course faculty included J-PAL affiliate William Parienté, Assistant Professor at the Université Catholique de Louvain, and Erasmus School of Economics researchers Kellie Liket, Senior Researcher in Impact Measurement, and Karen Maas, Assistant Professor and Director of the CSR Executive Education Program.

Cost: €1,350 per person (This fee includes all course instruction, materials, lunches, drinks, and dinner on May 18th. Please note that transportation and accommodation are not included.)

Who is this course for? Managers, directors, fund managers, or impact measurement staff in impact investing organizations (philanthropic foundations, impact investment funds, development banks, commercial institutes, and both asset owners and managers). Course participation is limited to those who work at impact investing organizations, or within the impact investing division of a larger organization.
