Overview

J-PAL North America will host its annual Research Staff Training (RST) as an in-person, three-day training program designed specifically for research staff working on randomized evaluations. Sessions blend lectures, hands-on exercises, and peer learning. RST provides an opportunity for participants to develop practical skills necessary for their work, refine technical skills, and meet other research staff from around the world. Apply Today

Applications are open between April 1 and June 12.

Who should apply?

RST is designed for research staff, generally in their first year of working on randomized evaluations. However, most of the sessions are applicable to any research setting. Participants are generally research staff working under the supervision of a PI, including full time RAs, pre-doctoral fellows, upper-level undergraduate RAs, research managers, and first or second year PhD students. This training is not designed for post-doctoral researchers.

RST is open to all qualified applicants regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, age, ability, or sexual orientation. The material and format is designed to be accessible to a range of starting points and learning styles.
