Janak Ghaskata

Janak Zaverbhai Ghaskata is a Project Associate at J-PAL South Asia, based in Surat, where he supports the Emissions Trading Scheme project and Effluent Trading Scheme projects. His responsibilities include managing field activities, monitoring data collection and quality, verifying Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (CEMS) data, including calibration-related activities, and coordinating with the research team, government agencies, industries, laboratories, and other stakeholders. He also supports project-related trading activities, workshops, meetings, and documentation.

Prior to his current role, Janak worked at a computer hardware shop, where he handled computer troubleshooting, hardware maintenance, and software installation. He has been working on the Emissions Trading Scheme project at J-PAL for the past seven and a half years, taking on responsibilities including CEMS calibration, data collection, effluent sample collection, data verification, and trading activities.

Janak holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Gujarat Technological University.
