Lisa Corsetto-Poon

Lisa Corsetto-Poon is Associate Director of Policy at J-PAL Global. She works with governments, donors, NGOs, academics, and others to build partnerships and advance evidence-informed policymaking. She helps guide J-PAL’s Policy and Communications vertical, which synthesizes and shares insights from randomized evaluations to inform policy design and scale decisions. 

Lisa joined J-PAL in 2016 and has held a variety of roles on the Policy and Communications team. Currently she advises the Labor Markets sector and the Jobs and Opportunity Initiative, which generates experimental research on strategies to improve people’s employment and earnings. She also advises J-PAL’s policy writing teams, including key products that summarize and synthesize findings from randomized evaluations. 

Prior to joining J-PAL, Lisa worked at a vocational training center for youth in Nicaragua and researched social safety nets in Mexico. She holds an MPP from UC Berkeley and a BA in Economics and a BS in International Agricultural development from UC Davis. 

Outside of work, Lisa is a novice baker and enjoys making treats of varying quality for family and friends.
