CareerTalk with J-PAL South Asia will offer students from strong academic environments an opportunity to interact with staff members of J-PAL South Asia and explore career paths within its Research, Policy, and Training teams. They will also learn about the qualifications and skills required to enter and excel in these areas.

This webinar aims to reach a diverse audience of students from academic institutions in India that have not been represented widely in previous career outreach programs. This is in line with J-PAL’s broader mission to cultivate a community of professionals who share a passion for evidence-based policymaking.

Drawing upon her extensive experience, Shobhini Mukerji, executive director of J-PAL South Asia, will provide the keynote address for this webinar. Shobhini will share her learnings and reflections about the changes in the development sector in India and will discuss the key skills that young graduates require to succeed in this field.

This webinar is free-of-cost and will be conducted virtually. Participation is open to students currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at an Indian university or college and will be considered on a first-come basis. There are limited slots and registrations close on 15 July, 2021.
