Revolutionizing Early Childhood Education: Exploring Evidence from a Blended Digital Solution in Nigeria

Effective classroom time management in primary education remains a challenge, as traditional teaching methods often lead to disengagement among young learners. Pupils frequently become bored with note-taking, while teachers struggle to meet weekly curriculum targets, reducing the effectiveness of learning. This approach also leads to burn out among teachers and learners. This approach limits opportunities for hands-on exercises, interactive learning, and extracurricular activities, which are essential for cognitive, social, and emotional development (Okpara 2024, Odetunde, 2021). To address this concern, we are partnering with Royal Wunderkind Network Ltd to explore the potential of subject-specific, curriculum- based interactive class notes and workbooks developed for learners aged 6-9 in Nigeria. This descriptive pilot grant will help identify implementation challenges, and conduct preliminary data collection from pupils, teachers, and parents in selected schools. This study will provide answers to the following: Here are three relevant research questions for your study: 1. How do curriculum-based interactive class notes and workbooks impact classroom time management and student engagement in early childhood education? 2. How do teachers, parents, and pupils perceive the effectiveness of interactive class notes and workbooks in enhancing holistic learning outcomes? 3. What are the key implementation challenges and facilitators of using interactive learning materials in Nigerian early childhood classrooms? Findings from this study will inform strategies to improve engagement, optimize teaching efficiency, and enhance holistic learning experiences in early childhood education.
