J-PAL’s Governance Initiative (GI) is now accepting new applications for its Conference Travel Grant program to support the participation of researchers based in low- and middle-income countries studying governance topics in leading economics conferences. Applications are due September 5, 2022.

In an effort to foster global collaboration between researchers working on governance topics, GI launched a conference travel grants program to support the participation of researchers based in low and middle-income countries to attend leading economics international conferences.

This year, up to two successful applicants will be fully funded to attend the North East Universities Development Consortium (NEUDC) 2022 Conference at Yale University, New Haven, US on November 5-6, 2022. Applicants must be nominated by a J-PAL affiliate or a GI invited researcher. Preference will go to applicants who intend to also present at the conference.

More information on eligibility criteria and the call for applications for the conference is available in the "Application Instructions" file below. Applications for the conference travel grants are due 11:59pm US Eastern Time on September 5, 2022.
