Meryem Mestassi

Meryem is the Senior Policy & Training Associate at the UM6P-J-PAL Applied Lab for Agriculture (UJALA). In this role, she supports partnerships, develops evaluation opportunities, and contributes to trainings and dissemination. Her work focuses on policy engagement and bridging research and decision-making.

Prior to joining J-PAL, Meryem worked at the UM6P Africa Business School (ABS), where she designed and delivered customized executive education programs for corporate clients. She managed training projects end-to-end, from needs assessment to content development and implementation.

Earlier, she worked as a consultant in the banking sector, contributing to transformation projects across retail and investment banking. She supported the optimization of internal processes and project management for large-scale organizational changes.

Meryem holds a Master’s degree in Management and Finance from KEDGE Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from Suzhou Renmin University. She also holds a diploma in accounting. She speaks Arabic and French natively, is fluent in English, and has basic proficiency in Spanish and Mandarin.
