Dedicated to bridging the gap between research and impact, The George Washington University (GW) is a world-class institution committed to training the next generation of economists and policymakers. Situated in the heart of D.C., GW provides students with access to research and internship opportunities at leading international organizations and government agencies, turning academic excellence into professional experience.

In line with ADEPT’s mission, GW’s Master of Science (MS) in Applied Economics prepares future economists with the rigorous technical toolkit needed to lead in a data-driven world. Through the program, students learn to apply advanced quantitative methods to transform data into insights, bringing an evidence-based perspective to their work.

Since 2022, GW’s MS in Applied Economics has been a pathway program with the MITx Data, Economics, and Design of Policy MicroMasters Program. Starting in 2026, GW is also a member of ADEPT.

DEDP MicroMasters learners accepted to GW’s MS in Applied Economics can earn credit toward their degree for up to two elective courses, allowing students to save up to 20% of tuition costs while completing their degree on an accelerated timeline.

ADEPT’s partnership with GW establishes a clear pathway for learners to a top-tier education in economics and policy, equipping them with the skills to turn evidence into real-world impact.
