Research and Training Manager, J-PAL Global

Therese David is a Research and Training Manager at J-PAL Global. She leads the development of a range of research resources and training materials for internal teams and external partners and facilitates courses on impact evaluation. She also provides technical advice to research teams to support high-quality implementation of projects and adherence to J-PAL’s research protocols.

Prior to joining J-PAL in 2022, she worked at Innovations for Poverty Action’s Philippines office on evaluations of targeted multifaceted poverty alleviation programs and the effects of migration on children’s education. She also worked for the Government of Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs at their Permanent Mission to the United Nations supporting the delegation’s diplomatic operations.

Therese holds a master’s degree in law and diplomacy from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and a bachelor’s degree in communication studies and psychology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
