Nupur Shrikant Dixit

Research Associate, J-PAL South Asia

Nupur Dixit is a Research Associate at J-PAL South Asia, where she supports a pilot evaluation on identifying and nurturing math talent in government schools in Maharashtra, in collaboration with the SCERT Department, Government of Maharashtra.

Prior to joining J-PAL, Nupur led field research in low-resource schools across Pune as a Program Analyst at Youth Success Academy, studying learning gaps and digital access among students.

Her research interests include labor and environmental economics, and she has previously worked on projects examining the effects of skilled immigration on firm productivity and innovation, and the impact of environmental regulation on corporate innovation in U.S. manufacturing.

Nupur holds a master's degree in econometrics and quantitative economics from the University at Buffalo and a bachelor's degree in psychology from Fergusson College.
