Senior Manager - HR, J-PAL South Asia

Esther Ekoh is a Senior HR Manager at J-PAL South Asia, where she leads strategic people initiatives that support organizational effectiveness, inclusive culture-building, and long-term growth. In this role, she partners with senior leadership on talent strategy, learning and development, performance management, employee engagement, and the design of scalable HR systems aligned with J-PAL’s mission.

Prior to joining J-PAL, Esther worked at Peepul, where she led organization-wide HR initiatives, including leadership development, performance management, and data-informed people practices. She previously held roles at IDinsight, the American India Foundation Trust, and AON PLC, gaining experience across HR operations, program management, and global service delivery in the development and corporate sectors in India.

Esther holds a master of arts in development from Azim Premji University and a bachelor of arts in economics from Ambedkar University, Delhi. Her work is grounded in a strong understanding of organizational systems, people-centered design, and the needs of mission-driven institutions.
