Abdelrahman Fathi is a Research Operations Associate at J-PAL Middle East and North Africa, where he supports an impact evaluation study examining how different interest rates affect business development, decision-making, and repayment behaviors.

Prior to joining J-PAL in 2025, he worked as a research assistant, contributing to several development research projects, including a baseline study on women’s economic inclusion in Luxor’s digital sector, a qualitative study examining advocacy efforts for people with disabilities in the MENA region, and research for his master’s thesis on the role of innovation hubs in Upper Egypt.

Abdelrahman holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from South Valley University.
