Yostina Girgies

Yostina Girgies is a Senior Research Associate at J-PAL Middle East and North Africa, where she handles the evaluation of empowering women through digital savings groups in rural Egypt and the Eradty RCT, with a focus on gender, finance, and people with disabilities.

Prior to joining J-PAL in 2023, she worked at the African Export-Import Bank as a research assistant. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Cairo University and a Master’s degree in Economic Development from Sorbonne University.
