Before joining J-PAL in 2025, Neha worked as a Research Assistant at the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA) and at the University of Göttingen’s Chair of Development Economics. Neha’s research lies at the intersection of global health, gender, and political economy, with a focus on South Asia. She holds a Master’s degree in Development Economics from the University of Göttingen, where her thesis — in collaboration with Harvard University — examines the impact of electing female legislators on women’s and children’s health outcomes in India.
