Shivani Jain

Shivani Jain is a Senior Communications Associate at J-PAL South Asia, where she leads strategic communications to translate research evidence into compelling stories that inform policymakers, engage donors, and reach wider audiences across India. She also shapes J-PAL South Asia's digital presence and collaborates with sectors to develop the organization's broader communications strategy.

Prior to joining J-PAL, Shivani served as a Digital Media Expert at UNDP India, where she led high-visibility campaigns on climate, health, gender, and SDGs and also managed partnerships with civil society organizations and government stakeholders. She has experience in working with the Asian Development Bank, UNESCO, Government of Rajasthan and assisted in political campaigns during Assembly (Lok Sabha) Elections, giving her broad experience across international development, public policy, and advocacy communications in India. Her expertise spans across content creation, campaign strategy, digital storytelling and brand visibility.

Shivani has over eight years of experience in strategic communications, content creation, campaign strategy, and brand visibility. She holds a Master’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication and a Bachelor’s degree in Animation and Multimedia. She was recognized as a Young Leader at the Obama Foundation's Townhall (India) and a Youth Delegate at the India-China Youth Dialogue in 2017.
