Aditya Kurup

Research Associate, J-PAL South Asia
Aditya Kurup is a Research Associate at J-PAL South Asia. He is supporting a project aimed at reducing dependence on groundwater for agriculture in Punjab.
Before joining J-PAL, Aditya worked as a Senior Analyst in the Economic Advisory Services practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) India, where he spent two years advising government bodies and multilateral agencies on projects spanning urban development, climate resiliency, and gender issues.
Notably, he contributed to a large-scale urban renewal initiative in Meghalaya, aimed at strengthening service delivery in key civic infrastructure sectors such as water supply, solid waste management, housing, and roads.
Aditya holds a BSc in economics from St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Kolkata, an MA in public policy from O.P. Jindal Global University, and a master’s degree in specialized economic analysis of public policy at the Barcelona School of Economics.
