Nihal Mernaoui is a Research Intern at the UM6P-J-PAL Applied Lab for Agriculture (UJALA). She supports research and training initiatives related to agriculture and development through background research, evidence synthesis, policy communication, and stakeholder engagement activities. She also contributes to the preparation of policy materials, workshops, and dissemination efforts.

Nihal has experience in quantitative and qualitative research methods, public policy evaluation, and data analysis. Her interests include evidence-based policymaking, behavioral public policy, and development research. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Behavioral and Social Sciences for Public Policy at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, where she previously completed her bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences for Public Policy.
