Senior Research, Education, and Training Manager, J-PAL Global

Michala Riis-Vestergaard is a Senior Research, Education, and Training Manager at J-PAL Global where she works on developing and delivering resources and trainings on conducting impact evaluations for policymakers and researchers. She also leads J-PAL's work to develop trainings on using evidence generated by others in program design and policy decisions. Prior to becoming a Senior Manager, Michala was a Postdoctoral Associate at J-PAL Global, and prior to that, she worked as an Analyst and Project Manager at The ROCKWOOL Foundation in Copenhagen, Denmark, where she designed and managed large-scale randomized impact evaluations of social programs. Her PhD dissertation analyzed the results of a randomized impact evaluation of a parent-oriented language intervention for preschool children in Denmark.

Michala holds a PhD in psychology and social policy from Princeton University, a MSc in economics from University of Copenhagen, and a MSc in human decision science from Maastricht University.
