Anna Subirana Bofill
Senior Research and Training Associate, J-PAL Europe
Anna Subirana is a Senior Research and Training Associate, where she contributes to research projects and capacity building work in Uzbekistan.
Before joining J-PAL in 2026, Anna worked with the World Bank’s Development Impact Evaluations (DIME) on impact evaluations related to cash transfers and women’s empowerment, school feeding programs, and sexual harassment in public transport, supporting research design, data analysis, and implementation. Prior to that, she provided legal assistance to refugees, internally displaced persons, and unaccompanied minors in Colombia and South Africa, and engaged in advocacy efforts, including advising indigenous and Afro-descendant communities affected by mass displacement in negotiations with public institutions and participating in humanitarian missions.
Anna holds an MSc in International and Development Economics from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Law from Esade Business and Law School.
