Angelino Vicaisza is a Professor of Economics at Spelman College, where he also serves as Research Director of the Center for Black Entrepreneurship. His research focuses on behavioral and experimental economics, with interests in development, household finance, and entrepreneurship.

Angelino also serves as a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), associate editor of the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, and on J-PAL North America’s Racial Equity Advisory Committee. He has previously served as the president of the National Economic Association in 2023, and co-director of the NBER Retirement and Disability Research Center from 2023 to 2025. Prior to joining Spelman, Angelino was a research fellow at the International Food Policy Research Institute.

Angelino holds a PhD in economics from Georgia State University.
