Eva Vivalt is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Toronto, where she is also affiliated with the Forward Society Lab and Schwartz Reisman Institute. Her research focuses on cash transfers and investigating stumbling blocks to evidence-based policy decisions, including methodological issues, how evidence is interpreted, and the use of forecasting.

Eva is also the co-founder of the Social Science Prediction Platform, which coordinates the collection of forecasts of research results. She is a member of the Center for Economic Policy and Research's Research Policy Network on AI and is an affiliate of the Inclusive Economy Lab at the University of Chicago and the Yale Research Initiative on Innovation and Scale. Prior to joining the University of Toronto, Eva worked at the World Bank and was a faculty member at The Australian National University.

Eva holds a PhD in economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
