Gabriel Charlotte Wajong
Research Associate, J-PAL Southeast Asia
Gabriel Charlotte Wajong is a Research Associate at J-PAL Southeast Asia, where she currently works on interventions that aim to reduce the rate of child marriage in Indonesia. In this capacity, she maintains cooperation with partners and sets up proper logistic preparations. Prior to this role, she acquired experience in the field of market research at Kantar Indonesia International. She also had a range of internship experiences, namely at GO-JEK, UNDP, and Office of Governor of DKI Jakarta.
Gabriel is interested in socioeconomic decision-making. She obtained her master’s degree with distinction in Cognitive and Decision Sciences from University College London. She was among the top-performing students nominated for the Dean’s List. Her dissertation explored the role of relative deprivation in inducing aggression within the context of inequality. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Universitas Indonesia (UI), where she graduated with Cum Laude and received Best Undergraduate Thesis Writer Award. She also served as a research assistant in UI.
