Clara von Bismarck-Osten

Clara von Bismarck-Osten is a Research Associate at J-PAL Europe. She works on a large-scale randomized evaluation of an early-childhood intervention in France. Within the framework of a teacher-training program, the project aims at supporting the language acquisition of children born into low-income families. She supports the team of three researchers with the management and cleaning of the data as well as with the supervision of the data-collection process (about 1000 children are tested on a yearly basis). Clara gained work experience in Cambodia and is fluent in German, French and English. Clara holds a BSc in economics from the University of Mannheim, where she simultaneously worked for the Center for Evaluation and Development.
