Eliza Keller is a Policy and Communications Manager at J-PAL, where she leads global strategic communications and media engagement. She is also a member of J-PAL's Political Economy and Governance policy team, working with governments and NGOs to apply scientific evidence to policies and programs that improve political participation, reduce corruption, and build state capacity.
Prior to joining J-PAL in 2016, Eliza served as Public Affairs Officer at the Millennium Challenge Corporation, a US foreign aid agency. At MCC, Eliza built coalitions within the academic, NGO and private sector communities to advocate for MCC’s evidence-based approach to foreign aid, and developed strategies to engage stakeholders and the public in MCC’s work through storytelling and social media.
Previously, she worked for a data visualization startup in Washington, DC and as a community organizer on local, state, and national political campaigns. Eliza holds an MPA in Development Practice from the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at Columbia University, where she was Editor in Chief of the Columbia Journal of International Affairs. She holds a B.Sc. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.
