Ashleigh Gillwald Morrell is a Policy Manager at J-PAL Africa. She works with education policymakers to ensure that policy is driven by evidence and that effective education programs are scaled up. Ashleigh’s current work is primarily centred on scaling up Teaching at the Right Level programs in Africa, having supported the Ministry of Education in piloting the initiative in Zambia. Ashleigh is also the J-PAL Africa training lead. Prior to working at J-PAL Ashleigh worked as an Economic Analyst at London Economics and as a Data Analyst at Research ICT Africa. Ashleigh is a recipient of the UK and Commonwealth Office Chevening scholarship for Future Leaders and holds an MSc. in Economics from the London School of Economics.
