Sara Kamal is a Research Associate at the Egypt Impact Lab (EIL). The EIL is a partnership between J-PAL Middle East and North Africa and the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development in Egypt.

Sara works on evaluating the impact of subsidized finance on business development and decision-making in low-income districts across Egypt, as well as the Sustainable Transformation for Agricultural Resilience program.

Prior to joining J-PAL MENA in 2025, Sara worked in market research as a Senior Research Analyst. 

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in Statistics from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University.
