Archana holds a Master's degree in Economics from Symbiosis International University, Pune. She has over 3 years of professional work experience in the field of research, policy and advocacy. Prior to joining J-PAL, she has worked as a Research and Program Coordinator at Bangalore Political Action Committee (B.PAC) where she was involved in research and drafting a submission to the Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) in the matter of electricity tariff determination for BESCOM. She has worked extensively with Government of Karnataka and BBMP on subjects of budget analysis, fund utilization. She has also co-authored a paper on “Analysis of Participation of Women in Politics: A Case Study of Karnataka” and a report on “Sustainable Mobility for Bengaluru”. She has also organized stakeholder meetings involving Government officials in Kerala and Karnataka on a project “Ease of Doing Business”.
She is a travel enthusiast, enjoys reading, and discussing politics.
