Deputy Director of Research, J-PAL South Asia
Tithee Mukhopadhyay is the Deputy Director of Research for J-PAL South Asia. She leads the research team at South Asia in efforts to create the critical infrastructure for randomized evaluations, conducted by researchers and partners. She provides advisory and strategic direction for initiatives that improve the quality and effectiveness of randomized evaluations, across J-PAL. Tithee also supports development of research resources and facilitates knowledge sharing across offices and projects.
Tithee has managed the Social Networks suite of research and multiple evaluations in labor markets, agriculture and health. She has extensive experience in research design and management as well as data management and analysis.
Prior to J-PAL, Tithee was a Women and Public Policy Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School. She is deeply interested in decision sciences and network economics. She holds a master’s degree in Global Development Economics from Boston University.
