The Water, Air, and Energy (WAE) Lab Request for Proposals

The Water, Air, and Energy (WAE) Lab is a collaboration between J-PAL Africa and the City of Cape Town to co-generate research and inform the scaling of evidence-based programs and policies that effectively improve access to clean air, water, and reliable energy for Capetonians. WAE Lab is part of the Air and Water Labs (AWLs) — a global initiative founded by J-PAL and Community Jameel.
Eligibility
J-PAL affiliated professors, J-PAL postdocs, J-PAL invited researchers, and J-PAL staff with PhDs who are collaborating on a project with the City of Cape Town are eligible to apply for WAE Lab funding.
Proposal Timeline
WAE Lab's RFP for proposal development, pilot, and full randomized evaluations are open. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.
