Labor Supply of the Gig Economy: Evidence From the Online-Delivery Industry in Brazil

This project examines the labor supply of gig workers in Brazil using iFood as a case study. The study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the factors determining the labor supply of gig economy workers and will enable policymakers to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of future policies aimed at providing benefits and protection for this population. The project intervention seeks to analyze how gig workers decide on the quantity of labor they want to offer and how information frictions can impact these decisions.
