Long-Term Impacts of Subsidized Dual Apprenticeships in Cote d’Ivoire

This is a long-term follow-up survey as part of an RCT of a subsidized dual apprenticeship program combining on-the-job and theoretical training in Côte d’Ivoire. This project
benefitted from an earlier round of PPE funding, which allowed the research team to document substantial medium-term impacts on youths’ earnings and skills 4 years after the start of the experiment and 2 years after the end of the intervention (Crépon and Premand, 2019). The research team is planning a new long-term follow-up survey that will take place 7 years after the start of the experiment and 5 years after the program ended. This long-term follow-up will provide evidence on time path of impacts on earnings. Together with cost data collected by the team, this will allow the team to calculate the cost-benefit ratios for the intervention based on the actual trajectory of impacts of youths’ earnings until the long- term follow-up survey.
