Research Associate, J-PAL South Asia
Dipika Gawande is a Research Associate at J-PAL South Asia working on the Emissions Trading Scheme project, which designs and evaluates the effect of a market-based environmental regulation system in India. Dipika holds BS degrees in Molecular Biology and Philosophy from Yale University.
Prior to joining J-PAL in 2018, she led a pilot survey with the Yale School of Public Health on the effects of groundwater arsenic exposure on pulmonary function in the rural Terai region of Nepal. Throughout her time at Yale, she researched T-cell genesis and functional pathways in the department of Immunobiology at Yale Medical School. She previously conducted public health research on user responses to improved cooking stoves in Nepal.
